At The Wallsmiths, our foundation began in traditional painting and decorating, starting as apprentices within a family-owned business specializing in the restoration and repainting of some of Melbourne’s oldest homes, including Edwardian, California Bungalows, Terrace homes, Art-Deco properties, post-wars (just to name a few). After completing our studies, we became fully licensed and accredited in painting, decorating, and color consulting, developing a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, detail, and finishes that respect the character of a home.

Over time, that passion naturally evolved into the decorative side of the industry, exploring materials and techniques such as Limewash, French Wash, Venetian Plaster, and Microcement. Recognizing a gap in Melbourne’s market for high-end decorative surface finishes applied with genuine craftsmanship and technical understanding, The Wallsmiths quickly established a reputation for delivering refined, architectural finishes across some of Melbourne’s most prestigious homes, restaurants, and commercial spaces.

Today, we are proud to be recognised not only for our decorative finishes and premium repainting work, but also as a trusted source of knowledge within the industry, regularly supporting other applicators and trades with technical guidance, product advice, and specialized expertise.
